JOB REQUIREMENTS: 50%-Establishment of timber sales within the Flambeau River State Forest. Mark complex northern hardwood stands and other timber types. 30%- Implementation of reconnaissance program to gather, record, and update silvicultural prescription, habitat type, soils, and other applicable information. Develop long-range planning schedules for individual compartment stands including harvest schedules, priority schedules, reforestation needs, and noncommercial improvement projects. 10% Manage ARCVIEW/RAVE/GIS database while incorporating GPS use. Change existing electronic data and map files to reflect current conditions. 10%- Assist forest staff with timber sale administration including scaling and contract enforcement.

This is a Limited Term(LTE) position. Job starts approximately October 30, 2006.
