Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) provides leadership in a partnership effort to help people conserve, maintain and improve our natural resources and environment.

This position is the MLRA GIS Specialist, assigned to the State Soil Survey staff and is headquartered in Wisconsin. The incumbent is a cartographer providing statewide support to the Geographic Information System (GIS) functions of the Soil Survey program and assists the state soil scientist in the development and maintenance of the Soil Survey Geographic Database (SSURGO) and related spatial products. This position also supports other states in MO-11 and MO-10 as assigned. The incumbent is also responsible for digitizing, database management, and quality control of SSURGO products for the digitizing unit.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
-This position is open to all U.S. Citizens.
-Prior Federal experience is not required.
-Relocation expenses are not authorized.
-Incumbent must have a valid state driver’s license.
