Qualifications: Candidate must have a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Graphics, or related area along with 2 to 5 years of professional experience. Must have proven proficiency in the use of ArcGIS as well as general exposure to other GIS software platforms; experience or coursework in graphic design and/or computer aided design and drafting a plus. Candidates must express a willingness to learn, the ability to work both independently and within a team to get the job done and have good verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate would have experience and interests in application of technology to urban planning, environmental (water/wastewater) and transportation planning issues.
Position Summary: The position requires the management of the design, layout, and production of GIS datasets and cartographic output. The candidate must work well in a team-like atmosphere in the development of GIS products for a wide-variety of public-sector clients.
