Dane County’s Department of Planning and Development, Records and SupportDivision has an open opportunity for a GIS Technician (unpaid internship) position. Responsibilities include the research of zoning district petitions and the redesign of the existing zoning petition mapping workflow. Researching these petitions can lead to mapping of boundaries (using coordinate geometry) or modifying existing boundaries (compared to parcel boundaries) and data entry.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills include working knowledge of ESRI’s ArcGIS 9.1, coordinate geometry, legal descriptions and the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
This internship is unpaid.
