GIS Technician

Natural Resources Consulting, Inc. (NRC), a Wisconsin-based consulting firm, is considering applicants to fill a GIS Technician position at our Cottage Grove office. The preferred candidate will have a minimum of a B.S. in environmental science with an emphasis in GIS. Field experience is a plus although it is not anticipated to be a major component of this position. The person hired for this position will be responsible for creating maps to support a variety of projects types using ESRI and Trimble software. Problem-solving abilities, persistence, attention to detail, ability to learn quickly, and an understanding of Midwestern ecosystems are necessary. Candidates must also possess excellent written and oral communication skills. This position may require periodic overnight travel and a valid driver’s license.
