GeoDecisions, a division of Gannett Fleming, Inc., has the need for a GIS Analyst in the Madison WI area. We are looking for an individual with a good work ethic and who works well with others.
Educational/Experience Requirements: Minimum of a 4-year degree in Geography, Computer Science or related field with exposure to Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Must understand GIS technology and have experience using GIS software. Experience working with databases would be helpful. Must have experience interacting with clients.
Job Duties:Basic spatial analysis and data collection, conversion, and development.Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and be able to communicate with clients and non-technical personnel. Must be able to work independently and as part of the GeoDecisions team. Excellent verbal/written communication skills for documentation, specifications, and client meetings.Applicant for this position should be able to display competency with at least one industry-standard GIS software platform.
