The City of Janesville is currently accepting applications for a seasonal GIS position inthe Engineering Department. This person will assist with GIS data development, ongoingmaintenance, and data conversions as directed by the GIS Coordinator. Otherqualifications are listed below:
1. Candidates should be enrolled in an associate’s, bachelors or master’s degree ingeography, urban planning, civil engineering or similar program. Alternatively,the candidate may hold one of these degrees.
2. Candidates should have demonstrated experience with ESRI ArcGIS 9.1 software.Also, candidates should be familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.
3. Experience with the following is a plus: Geodatabase experience, knowledge ofArcSDE, researching and reading legal documents and engineering plans, andexperience with AutoCAD systems and file conversion to ESRI formats.
