The Branch of Resource Management Support has programmatic responsibilities to address the Services ecological data and assessment needs. The Branch develops strategies, policy and technical approaches, and conducts investigations that enhance the capacity of the Service to protect habitat resources vulnerable to ongoing and proposed Federal land and water management activities at national, ecosystem, and regional scales. Branch activities include wetland and riparian mapping, wetlands status and trends studies, and other resource mapping and assessment projects that focus on addressing how management actions and policy decisions affect fish and wildlife habitats over time.

This position will be co-located with the USGS, Cartographic Applications and Processing Program Office in Madison, WI. The incumbent serves as the Wetlands Geodatabase Manager on the National Standards and Support Team having primary responsibility for operation of the master geodatabase configuration and systems. This includes responsibility for the integrity and distribution of the digital geospatial data developed by the Service.
