Chicago, Illinois consulting company has opening for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Application Developer. The position requires the candidate to perform routine maintenance and design and develop new functionality for ESRI-based enterprise GIS systems.
Responsibilities:
-Participate in user requirements gathering -Create functional requirements and design documents
-Develop code, create test plans, and perform testing -Assist with system analysis and maintenance -Assist with geodatabase maintenance and updates.
Minimum requirements:
-4 year degree in Geography, Computer Science or similar
-Expert knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS 8.3 and above, ArcSDE -Minimum 2 years experience developing ArcObject-based solutions -Excellent communication skills and professional work habits.
Preferred:
ArcObjects development using Visual Basic, C#.Net Experience with Microsoft Visio.
