The Wisconsin Department of Administration, Division of Enterprise Technology is seeking a Geographic Information Officer to coordinate Wisconsin’s geospatial information activities across the enterprise. Starting salary will be up to $82,000 per year. A two year trial period may be required. Excellent benefits package worth around 30% of the annual salary.

Extensive knowledge of geographic data and mapping with a focus on the “vision”; background in GIS technology including a thorough knowledge of GIS software and familiarity with database software. IT skills emphasizing GIS. Proven ability to produce reports and papers on policies, advocating appropriate initiatives to government partners. Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to work at the highest levels of government in an effective manner. Organizational skills and experience analyzing enterprise business and technology issues in a large corporation or governmental organization.
