The Engineering Department is responsible for the design, survey, construction and inspection of municipal projects; transportation planning; preparation of special assessments; maintaining official engineering records and system maps of streets, stormwater facilities, sidewalks, paths, bridges, and signal lights; stormwater control measures and the City’s stormwater utility; erosion control; administers pavement management program; and provides general engineering services.
The Civil Engineer / GIS Coordinator assists the City Engineer with in efficiently fulfilling the responsibilities of the Engineering Department. The Civil Engineer / GIS Coordinator reports directly to the City Engineer and has responsibilities that can be broken into two general areas: engineering and GIS (Geographical Information Systems).
