Cartographer

This position focuses on the cartographic production needs of the organization. Work will involve creating new cartographic products and updating existing products while adhering to the established cartographic style and presentation of the overall product line. Strong knowledge in cartographic conventions is required and a working knowledge of GIS is a strong benefit. This position is also responsible for updating and maintaining the company’s internal cartographic style and procedure guide.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The ideal candidate will have experience performing cartographic duties in a deadline oriented, production environment. Strong knowledge and experience with Adobe CS3 is required. Working familiarity with commercial printing processes and technology, including both offset and digital printing technologies, is desired. BA/BS in Geography with an emphasis in Cartography. 2+ years of Cartographic experience with 1+ years of commercial product production experience using tools such as Adobe CS3 and CorelDraw.
