GIS Developer

Roles:
The role of IT/GIS Developer is providing effective technical database and application development solutions for our clients within Patrick Engineering’s Enterprise System Group (ESG).

In this technical role, the candidate should be driven, have strong leadership abilities to build relationships with Technical Solutions teams, and help drive the execution of the final solution. The candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of database design and implementation, and the ability to develop applications to use the IT/GIS databases created. The IT/GIS Developer position will either work as both project manager and developer role in smaller projects, or work as a technical resource working closely with Project Managers and Business Analysts within ESG.

Candidates must have a good understanding of technology trends and developments in the application and integration architecture leading to current best practices for a given technical solution. Candidates must have strong exposure and demonstrated skills working within a enterprise IT/GIS setting and providing solid technical solutions in system integration and applied spatial analysis. Demonstrated ability to move from Business Analysis to System Analysis and technical architecture is a key skill for this position.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, a passion for technology and architecture, solving real world problems and providing technical leadership; and the ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationship with both internal associates and external customers is required.
