DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following activities:
• Collect and update County information related to local planning activities.
• Prepare computerized maps, charts, graphs, and diagrams to support such planning activities as zoning changes, variances, and other regulatory activities.
• Provide basic land related information and maps to the other governmental units and the general public.
• Assist in the preparation of the County’s new Street Atlas and Plat Books.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Employee must have a knowledge of the ESRI ArcGIS 9.2 mapping system.
• Employee will need to demonstrate an understanding of basic mapping skills, such as snapping, polygon closure, map layout, and cartographic standards.
• Knowledge of Planning practices is considered a plus, but not required.
