Members of the Wisconsin Geographic Information Coordination Council handled several important business items at their December 17th meeting in Green Bay, in addition to developing criteria for identifying high-impact projects to tackle in the coming months.
The interim Wisconsin Geographic Information Coordination Council hosted a kick-off meeting of a dynamic, statewide stakeholder meeting at the end of October.
The interim Wisconsin Geographic Information Coordination Council met for the first time on September 23, 2008. Over the next two years, WIGICC will serve as the primary forum and coordinating body for geographic information and technology in the state of Wisconsin.
The next major event for the Wisconsin Geographic Information Coordination Council is a “Network” meeting scheduled for October 28th in Appleton.
The process to identify members of the interim Wisconsin Geographic Information Coordination Council (WIGICC) is nearly complete, with 14 of the 15 members now named. The first council meeting is scheduled for September 23rd in Madison, followed by a “Network” meeting on October 28th in Appleton.
Stakeholder groups from around the state are in the final stages of identifying representatives for an interim Wisconsin Geographic Information Coordination Council. If all goes as planned, the first meeting of the Council should happen in late summer of 2008.
